And The Second Year Shall Comence

Hey. Well, here we are. One year later. A lot of stuff happened in 2010, and I actually blogged about it for a good solid three months there. Then everything went down hill fast. I don't know, I guess I just got lazy. There were many time over the last year that I sat down with all intentions of blogging. I tried to continue with it, then I tried to restart it a few times. Never stuck with it though. I could lie and say it's all gonna change, but I am not going to do that. I will leave it at this, we will see what we see.

Having said all that, lets try to get through 2010 as fast as I can. And the fastest way I know how to get through stuff is with a list. Here we go.

January: Went to NYC and saw Jimmy Fallon live
February: Nothing happened
March: Got the DS
April: Nothing happened
May: Got the PS3
June: Went to Disney World
July: Nothing happened
August: My job became full time
September: Al moved into an apartment in Saratoga
October: I moved into the apartment in Toga
November: Decorated the apartment for Christmas
December: Celebrated Christmas

I think that's about it. Anyways, Happy New Year.

.....

Wait, you didn't think I could end talking about 2010 without mentioning what is probably the best thing to happen the whole year did you? I think it can be summed up well in following picture:

Thank you Katie, for bringing Rockette into all of our lives.

Lets Try This Again Shall We

Hi. It's really hard to blog these days. Not that I don't have anything to say, more that I cannot find to motivation to type while I'm the computer. Now before I get to the heart of this post, I am currently listening to a new Limp Bizkit song, and I can't say I hate it. Weird.

Yankee's just scored. For some reason I've been watching much more baseball this year then I ever had in the past. But that's not very hard considering I almost never use to watch. I guess I've just needed something to watch since football seasons been over. Recently it's been very hard to watch anything on TV other then sports. I mean sure there's all the crap I watch with Al, but it's not like I have a choice in that. Discovery Channel and Comedy Central just haven't been doing it for me the past few months. Sure I still love Mythbusters and I'll watch when the new South Park season starts. I just have no desire to.

Holy crap. After watching Up in the Air again this weekend, I once again cannot get Vera Farmiga out of my head.

Guess Who's Back

Hey. Guess what? I'm gonna try to start blogging again. That's right, try. Who knows if it will actually work or if it will be another four months until my next post. I'll try harder to keep updating more, I promise. Yet, I feel that it is going to be hard to keep it up..... Hahaha. OK, with that lame joke out of the way lets start this post out with a recap of the past few months of my life. Here we go.

April happened, then I got a PlayStation 3 in May. In June I went to Disney with Al, Tim and Heidi....oops I mean Katie. Sorry, I have Home Improvement on the mind. Then in July Al got a job in Saratoga. Right now I'm watching Home Improvement with Al and drinking a Bass. Good times. Oh wait, I forgot the biggest thing that happened. Wait for it. Back to the Future was announced for Blu-Ray. It comes out on October 26th. I am totally taking the day off of work to sit around and watch it.

Have I ever mentioned my love of Tim Allen? It started with Home Improvement in the early 90's and continued with his portrayal of Buzz Lightyear and Santa Clause. I'm currently reading his first book. It's awesome. Want to know what's not awesome? The Santa Clause 2. First one was fantastic, second one sucked and the third one was bad but contained an awesome time travel scene that actually made it pretty interesting.

Speaking of Toy Story, did anyone see Toy Story 3 yet? It was so good. I mean Goo, it was good. (Yes I meant to type "Goo". It's something from me and old roommates that I am trying to keep alive.) Best movie I've seen this year. The ending was sad, epic, sweet and everything in between. I really would recommend it to anyone who likes good movies. Biggest disappointment of the year? Grown-Ups. Now, don't you go and get me wrong. I did like the movie. In fact I liked it a lot. The thing is I hold Adam Sandler movies to a very high standard. I realize that they are not always the best movies out there, but there's a little bit else involved. See, I grew up watching and loving Adam Sandler movies and for whatever reason I deep down always want the new ones to be as good as the ones from back in my youth. Chuck and Larry and Zohan were both excellent in my opinion, Funny People was ok. Grown-Ups was pretty good. I guess I just wanted more from it. Also, I'm surprised to say that I thought Kevin James was the best part of the movie. I hope he keeps making movies. Ever see the show King of Queens? Doug and Carrie are almost the prefect analogs for me and Allie. And I love it.

Next Up: I'm Thinking District 9

Hey there. This is going to be a really short one. I want to start blogging more and I've come to the conclusion that by trying to write much shorter posts I will be willing to update more often. Alright now, lets get down to business. First, the DSi still rocks major ass and I cannot wait to get some more games for it. Second, my lovely gf is in Disney for the Easter holiday. Second.5, with her being away I am going to try to catch up on a bunch of movies I have been wanting to watch. This movie marathon started last night, Thursday. I watched Son of Rambow and then Pleasantville. Son of Rambow was very good. I put off watching it due to thinking it would not be that great and needless to say my fear was for no reason. The film was funny, clever and actually a little bit touching. Highly recommended. Pleasantville I have seen before. But it had a neat story and I didn't know how long I could stay up. So I went with something I did not need to pay full attention to.

OK, so scratch that about this being a short post. I guess I got on a roll and still feel like typing more.

Today started with going to the super market. But that has nothing to do with anything. Other then the fact that I picked up some magazine about Mario. Yes, if you did not know already, I am in fact a 12 year old man. Anyways, after I got home and worked outside for a little bit, I watched Star Trek. Movie rocked. Hard. I really enjoyed it much more then I thought I would. Probably because I hated anything Star Trek while growing up. This new movie however, makes me want to go back and watch some classic Star Trek stuff. I probably won't, but here's for trying. Currently King Kong is on. It's on because I put it in my DVD player. Why would I do that? Simple. I wanted to watch the stuff with the dinosaur in it. The whole movie isn't that great, but boy were those dinosaur scenes pretty sweet.

VAN Is the Best I Could Come Up With

Hey. Wow. It sure has been a long time since I've blogged about anything. It's not that nothing has been going on, it's just that I have had no motivation to blog recently. The weird part is a couple things have happened recently that I probably should be talking about. But therein lies the problem. Should I talk about all of it in this blog and totally blow my load? Or should I split it up and write a couple postings using the material I have been saving up? I think if I had my way I would at this point say something like "I don't know what I should do. I guess I'll take a few days to think about it and then come back to you." Then try to trick you, the reader, into thinking that I was not gonna tell my new stories. Yet I would still end up tell the stories. So the trick would not work as you would have already seen that the blog has not come to an end yet and there would be more to read. So it seems like that solves it. Heregoes.

Last Sunday I bought a Nintendo DSi and then on Wednesday me and my old roommate brewed a new batch of beer.

Damn, I have nothing else to say. I wasted a week on just one sentence. Oh well, I guess I could elaborate or something.

The new beer is looking to be a much lighter beer then the past few that we have brewed. We used a much lighter malt then before. It should be a sort of light, crisp Pale Ale. Very hoppy of course. We think that our past brews have been hampered by not fermenting enough. So this new one will have a two week fermentation and will include a secondary fermentation. I wasn't involved in buying the ingredients this time, but when my roommate went he took a bottle of our last brew. The guy working there sampled it and have him the idea of the secondary fermentation. Oh, also, it's not just the two of us this time. One of his new roommates is joining for this batch. His name starts with an "A". That's gonna be hard to work with.

The DSi rocks. I can make flip book animations on it. That one little game is worth having the whole system. The Dr. Mario and other puzzle games are pretty great too. I think I'm gonna go play it now. OK, not really. I am actually gonna go install a hard wood floor now.

The Countdown Begins

Hi. What on earth is my problem. Every day once it gets past about 9 o'clock I start to fall asleep. I know, lame right. But that doesn't really matter right now. What actually matters is that today is March 19th. And you know what that means. It's only nine months and six days left till Christmas!!! Sweet right.

I just got done watching Alice in Wonderland with my gf. I haven't seen it in at least 15 years. The new movie spiked my interest and therefore I wanted to see the old one again before seeing the new version. It made me realize two things. First, Alice in Wonderland is an f'ed up movie. And second, I really hate VHS and am very glad for the advent of DVD and Blu-Ray. I mean the picture looked terrible and the sound quality left much to be desired. Lets not even get started on having to rewind. Seriously, who wants to press the rewind button after having finished a movie? I know I sure don't want to.

Oh Yeahhhh!!!!!

Hi. Well so much for blogging on a regular schedule. I guess I just haven't had much to talk about lately. So here are a couple things that may or may not interest you. I think I want to start a collection of PEZ dispensers. Why? I don't know really. I guess it's just because I like the candy and I like holiday themed PEZ. Therefore, at many holidays I tend to seek out a new dispenser. Recently I got a Santa Claus one and a duck one. The duck was for Easter. It wasn't just some random duck or anything weird like that.

I am starting to get a little bit bored by video games. I know right. Who saw that coming. Haha. But seriously, I just cannot get interested in playing them again. The other day I bought Mega Man 10 on the Wii. I've played it for like two hours since Saturday and it has yet to really hook me. It is a great game and I did beat it, but it was on easy mode. That hardly counts. I got into NBA Courtside 2002 a week or two ago and that was the only game I really got into in the past month or so. I mean, Sonic Mega Collection was alright and I did play alot of Mega Man Anniversary Collection. So it's not like I've stopped playing video games. It's just that there hasn't been anything that has hooked me as much as Fire Emblem or Excite Truck. Maybe I should get Need for Speed Undercover. I love racing games. You know what? I am going to go look up prices for it on Ebay and Amazon right now. Maybe some other time I will talk about my new found enthusiasm for movie soundtracks and the Kool-Aid Man.
