Hey. It has occurred to me that my music tastes have been changing quite a bit over the past couple years. Back in oh-seven I was hardcore into metal. Dethklok, DevilDriver, Lamb of God, Slayer, CKY, Five Finger Death Punch, In Flames, Opeth, Megadeth, Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, Nonpoint, Ozzy and the list goes on. I still listen to a few of these bands but not nearly as much. Recently I discovered something about myself that disturbed me quite a bit - I like pop music. I seriously like pop music. I'm talking Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Britney Spears and the like. Yeah, I know.
If the Vince of two years ago read that above, I would be afraid to see his reaction. I guess it would not be too bad, mostly just calling the current Vince all sorts of names. Probably stuff like *****, *****, ******, *******, *** and ************. Harsh stuff. Is it really that big of a deal that I listen to this music now? Probably not. I suppose that it's all just coming from age. The metal phase is now pretty much out of my life and I'm more into listening to stuff that's easier to digest. Now don't get me wrong, I still listen to a lot of hard rock bands. It's just that I incorporate the occasional "Tic Tok" or "Bad Romance".
Mock me all you like, I'm just being honest.
